How To Find Deals On Your Next Phone Purchase
Shopping for a new cell phone can get expensive quick but there are a few ways around paying the super high prices that most of these phones command.
Wait until a holiday – If you can hold off until around a major holiday then you can sometimes score a great deal.
Buy online – Many companies offer deals to consumers that make their purchase online so check the website of the carrier you want to use frequently. They often don’t advertise these deals.
Ask for a price break – I have gotten major discounts just by asking. The clerks in the store sometimes have the authority to offer up a killer deal if it helps make the sale. You can also ask if they have any previous models in stock. If they do, you may be able to negotiate a major discount on one.
Buy more than one – If you are going to have phones for more than one person on the same plan buy them both at the same time. You can usually get a good price this way, like buy one get one free or a rebate certificate for the entire purchase price.
Buy prepaid – Prepaid phones are great if you don’t talk every day and cost less than 50 in most cases.
And of course…
Sign a contract – Sign a 2 year contract and most cell phone providers will gladly give you your choice of several phones for free or give you an unheard of discount on top-of-the-line smartphones.
